GRANADA™ SERIES WALL MOUNTED RANGE HOOD |
.
The Sales Pitch
Many homeowners are exposed to the newer kitchen designs through television or print publications. They are looking for a way to make that old kitchen look new again without breaking the bank. One of the easiest and most effective appearance upgrades is to change out the old under-cabinet hood or OTR microwave. These kitchen appliance styles have been around for many years and can really date a kitchen. Because the range hood is at eye level, it immediately attracts the eye. When a new chimney hood is used to replace the older styles anyone entering the kitchen will notice. This cost effective improvement will add value and functionality to any kitchen.
.
The Granada™ Series is the perfect choice for an installation over a standard electric or gas range. It is particularly well suited for the homeowner wishing to update the kitchen, eliminate the dated OTR microwave and improve ventilation without replacing cabinets. The ease of installation makes this a perfect DIY project for the home handyman and greatly updates the appearance of the entire kitchen without costly cabinet replacement. In fact it makes a great upgrade that many times can be accomplished in less than a day.

The Technical Stuff You'll Be Asked
The Granada™ is a wall mounted chimney hood available in 30”, 36" and 48” widths in a beautiful stainless steel finish. All Granada™ Series hoods feature a powerful 600 CFM permanently lubricated split capacitor motor that provides superior ventilation for many common household applications.
.
Two Halogen cook-top lights located at the rear of the hood provide plenty of lighting. The push button speed control allows for 3 speed settings and an off position. Controls are located in the front of the hoof for easy access. An upgraded feature of this hood is an electronic blower delay timer that automatically shuts the hood off after 15 minutes when selected.
.
The Granada™ is designed to perform best when vented to the outside. The canopy of the hood is easily mounted to the wall with screws or anchors (appropriate to hold the weight). The 6” round duct required (venting material is not included) for venting is enclosed behind the telescoping chimney which sits atop the canopy and is attached to the wall with a mounting bracket. A damper located at the top of the canopy helps to keep outside air from the interior of the home. Chimney extension kits are available for ceilings over 8 ft.
.
For installations where venting is not possible the Granada™ can be installed in a non-ducted configuration with the addition of two optional charcoal odor filters. These attach directly to the blower and the grease filters remain in place. Exhaust air is then channeled through the venting slots located on each side of the chimney and returned back into the room. The anodized aluminum grease filters will not discolor if cleaned in the dishwasher.
