Where is the model number located on my fan?
On most fans the model number is located on the top of the motor.

How do I clean my fan?
Be sure electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before wiring, cleaning or servicing. Use only a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. Abrasive cleaning agents should be avoided. Do not spray water directly onto your ceiling fan.
How do I get a copy of the instruction sheets
Instruction sheets can be downloaded from this web site. Please go to the "Product Information" section and navigate to your particular model or use the search feature at the top of the page to type in your model number.

How far from the floor should the ceiling fan be mounted?
Your ceiling fan must be mounted at least 7 feet above the floor to an outlet box marked "Acceptable for fan support".

Do I need to lubricate the motor?
NO. Air King motors are permanently lubricated and do not require oiling.

Can I use a solid state speed control with my ceiling fan?
NO. Solid State Speed controls should not be used with Air King ceiling fans.

Can I control more than one fan with the included wall switch of the Industrial Series?
NO. The wall control included with the unit can only accommodate one fan.

My fan will not operate?
1. Check that there is power to the fan. The most common trouble is the circuit breaker is off / there is a blown fuse, or if your fan is controlled by a wall switch, that the switch is off.

2. Make sure a speed has been selected with the fan's controls.

How do I order replacement parts?
Replacement parts can be ordered from the parts department by calling 1-800-465-7300 Monday thru Thursday 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 3pm Eastern Standard Time.
