Where is the model number located on my ceramic heater?

How do I clean my ceramic heater?
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CORD AND ALLOW THE HEATER TO COOL BEFORE MOVING OR SERVICING. DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER CLEANING: Clean the top Heater grill with a vacuum brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. This will remove lint and dirt from the inside of the Heater. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAKE APART HEATER. DO NOT REMOVE GRILL GUARD OR ALLOW HEATER TO BE OPERATED WITHOUT GRILL GUARD IN PLACE. Clean the body of the Heater with a soft cloth. (NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.) |

My fan has a thermostat, how does it work?
The thermostat functions by sensing the temperature in the room and will turn the heater on or off automatically as the temperature changes. If your heater is plugged in but is not operating, try adjusting the thermostat knob.

What are the electrical requirements for my heater?
Most Air King heater require 12.5 amps of power and should be plugged into an outlet capable of handling this load. Check your specific unit's specifications for the exact requirements. If you do not have an outlet capable of handling the requirements, install one that is. This work must be done in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes and ordinances. This work must be done only by a qualified electrician, using copper wire only. |

What type of batteries are needed for my remote control?
The remote control is powered by two AAA batteries supplied. There is a cover on the back of the remote control that can be removed for replacement of the batteries as required. |

I do not have a grounded outlet, can I still use my heater?
NO. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong grounded plug that must be inserted into a matching receptacle. Under no circumstances must the grounding prong be cut off the plug. Where a two-prong wall receptacle is encountered, it must be replaced with a properly grounded three-prong receptacle installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes and ordinances. This work must be done only by a qualified electrician, using copper wire only.

What is a ceramic heating element?
The Ceramic Heating Element produces heat by passing current through a self regulating ceramic heating element. The element adjusts itself to the surface temperature, regulating it to produce a constant heat. As air is passed through the element, it will adjust to maintain the temperature. |

How much heat does my heater generate?
Depending on your unit, it will generate different amounts of heat. Most Air King heater have a high setting capable of generating 5118 BTUs of heat. Refer to your unit's specifications for more information. |

My heater will not operate?
1. Check that there is power to the outlet and that the heater is completely plugged in. Two of the most common items are either the circuit breaker is off / there is a blown fuse, or that the outlet is controlled by a light switch.
2. Make sure a comfort setting has been selected with the heater's controls.
3. If your fan has a thermostat feature, make sure it is properly set.
4. Air King heaters have safety features built into the units that will cause the unit to shut off. Check your specific unit's instruction sheet for more information. |
