What is ASHRAE 62.2?
ASHRAE 62.2 is a minimum national standard that provides methods for achieving acceptable indoor air quality in typical residences. The standard has three main components: Whole House Ventilation, Local Exhaust, and Source Control.Each component has specific sound and ventilation requirements depending on the size of the home as well as other factors. What does ASHRAE 62.2 mean to me?
Now that ASHRAE 62.2 is active, builder's will be required to implement ventilation solutions to meet the ASHRAE 62.2 standard. This means they will be looking for Ventilation Fans.
