Air King Ventilation

What is California Title 24 and CALGreen?
"The Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings were established in 1978 in response to a legislative mandate to reduce California's energy consumption. The standards are updated periodically to allow consideration and possible incorporation of new energy efficiency technologies and methods." As it pertains to ventilation, it provides minimum standards for the performance of the products that may be used, especially when a light combination unit is to be a part of the installation. - Source:

CalGreen is a part of Title 24 that states all exhaust fans used must be ENERGY STAR® qualified. CALGreen also requires exhaust fans installed in bathrooms (defined as a room with a tub or shower) to be controlled by a readily available humidistat

What does California Title 24 and CALGreen mean to me?
While it is true that this requirement mostly effects California residents and builders, may of the components included are being adopted in other states across the country. Controlling the humidity level of the home and increasing the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is beneficial no mater what state you live in. Air King provides some of the best solutions on the market today giving homeowners and builders a choice.
